Several Premier League players, who failed to make it to their country’s World Cup squad, have already started enjoying their summer holidays.
Ibiza has once again become one of the most popular destinations for football stars looking to relax before pre-season preparations begin.
Meanwhile, O Beach Ibiza continues attracting some of football’s biggest names every summer because of its close links with celebrities and athletes.
Wayne Lineker, the co-owner of the famous beach club, regularly shares photos alongside high-profile footballers visiting the island during the off-season.
Now, another Premier League player has been spotted enjoying his break in Ibiza.
Aston Villa defender Matty Cash was pictured alongside Wayne Lineker at O Beach after a hugely successful season under Unai Emery.
Lineker shared a photo of the pair on social media. He described it as “lovely to see Matty Cash” enjoying his holiday in the Balearic sunshine.
The Poland international heads into the summer after playing a major role in Aston Villa’s outstanding campaign.
Cash clocked more than 3,000 minutes across all competitions. Also, Villa secured Champions League qualification with a top-four Premier League finish.
The defender also helped the club win the UEFA Europa League trophy. His performances throughout the campaign earned him Aston Villa’s Player of the Season award.
Meanwhile, Cash recently committed his long-term future to the club after signing a new contract running until 2029.
The 28-year-old has developed into one of the Premier League’s most reliable full-backs since arriving at Villa Park.
