So, before the game, their under-fire interim manager, Igor Tudor, held his pre-match press conference where he gave a shocking update on the availability of players.
Tudor was asked about the availability of Joao Palhinha and Cristian Romero. He said (via The Standard):
“No, no, no they are out. I don’t know how much (they will be out), I think, they will be back for sure, for the Nottingham Forest, maybe even for the Champions League.”
Now, apart from Romero and Palhinha, Micky van de Ven will also miss this game because of the red card he received against Crystal Palace.
The Tottenham boss also confirmed that Yves Bissouma will be unavailable for this game against Liverpool. However, he gave some hope regarding Conor Gallagher’s availability. He said:
“Conor has some fever. But probably he will be in. So we have again a lot of problems to make the first eleven. This is how it is in this club. This happens all the time.”
So far, Igor Tudor has lost all his games as the manager of Tottenham Hotspur. And if he cannot improve results quickly, he might also get sacked.
