It was the absolute nightmare start to the Serie A season for AC Milan last week.
They embarrassingly lost 2-1 at home to newly promoted Cremonense on Saturday night.
Last time their visitors were in the top flight, they did not win a game until February the 28th.
In an attempt to try and get their season off and running, they are set to complete the signing of Christopher Nkunku.
That may not be the only deal they do to try and rectify their season, either.
Milan sporting director Igil Tare has confirmed the possibility of a swap between Santi Gimenez and Artem Dovbyk of AS Roma.
Neither player look set to play a starting role for their current sides this season.
Although Gimenez played 90 minutes against Cremonense, the signing of Nkunku surely complicates things.
Meanwhile, Evan Ferguson was preferred by Gian Piero Gasperini in their opener, replacing the Irishman with 16 minutes remaining.
By all accounts, Ferguson had a pretty good game too – despite not getting on the scoresheet.
So perhaps a swap would suit everyone.
That said, would Dovbyk then start at Milan with Nkunku there? Likewise with Gimenez and Ferguson?
Certainly interesting and quite out of the blue.
Perhaps a new change of scenery is what both players need to thrive.
Like most forwards, Gimenez would surely love the chance to play under Gasperini.
Especially when the alternative is Max Allegri.
