AS Roma look set to raid the Premier League, after losing midfielder Enzo Le Fée to Sunderland for €23 million.
Manchester United winger Jason Sancho has been heavily linked with a move to Roma this summer.
The Englishman is reportedly open to halving his wages to play in Rome next season, after what has been a disastrous spell in Manchester for the former Borussia Dortmund attacker.
After finishing as runners up in the 2022/23 season, Roma have since finished sixth and fifth in Serie A, form that saw José Mourinho lose his job in January 2024.
They will be looking to bounce back, but it has been an uneventful summer for the club.
With their most expensive arrival being €25 million, and most expensive sale being the aforementioned €23 million from the Le Fée departure, it has been a very calm summer for the Italian side.
Arguably their biggest arrival was new manager Gian Piero Gasperini, who built up a great reputation as Atalanta manager.
AS Roma make contact with Manchester United defender
According to reports, Roma have made contact with United for left-back Tyrell Malacia.
After making 39 appearances in all competitions for United in the 2022/23 season, Malacia has made just three appearances across the two campaigns that have followed.
This is as a result of a knee injury, with surgery keeping him out for a year and a half.
He was part of the PSV Eindhoven team that won the Eredivisie against the odds during a spell with the Dutch side last season.
United manager Ruben Amorim has put him and four other players this summer on the club’s transfer list.
They would need to fight with Turkish side Besiktas for Malacia’s signing.
However, Malacia is reportedly interested in a move to Roma, which would give them the upper hand in their chance of acquiring his services.
