Barcelona are struggling this transfer window. Apart from Joan Garcia and Marcus Rashford, they have struggled to sign quality players.

They were leading the race to sign Nico Williams. But, due to financial struggles, they fail to provide a guarantee to the player that he will be registered on time.

That is why that move failed and Williams signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao, keeping him at the club till 2035.

Also, they were eyeing a move for Luis Diaz. But the Colombian chose to join Bayern Munich instead.

Now, the Blaugrana are eyeing a striker, and they have set their sights on a Newcastle United target.

The Magpies are having a similar transfer window to that of Barcelona. Most of their targets rejected them, even though they can offer Champions League football.

The recent player that rejected Newcastle is Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian chose Manchester United over Newcastle.

That is why they are switching their attention to a different striker.

According to a Spanish outlet, the striker Barcelona is trying to sign is Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.

Newcastle United are also targeting the same player, along with Aston Villa. However, Chelsea are looking for a big-money move for the Senegalese.

Right now, Chelsea has many attacking options. They have signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer.

So, the Senegalese striker will have limited game time this season. That is why Jackson is also keen on a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Now, if the Chelsea striker gets an offer from both Newcastle United and Barcelona, he would probably pick Barca because of the stature of the club.

However, with Alexander Isak leaving, Jackson should choose Newcastle as he will become the lead striker easily. Chelsea want €80 million plus to sell Nicolas Jackson.
