Barcelona are heading into the summer with clarity and purpose.

After a season that saw them return to the top of Spanish football, the focus now shifts to sharpening the attack even further.

With Hansi Flick settling into life at the Camp Nou and overseeing a dynamic young squad, the club’s recruitment team is already hard at work.

Barcelona’s front line, boasting the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha (now among the leading contenders for the Ballon d’Or) has caught the eye across Europe.

But the Catalans want more. They want to win the UEFA Champions League. Something they failed to do in the last decade.

That is why Hansi Flick is looking for depth, versatility, and a forward who can provide both goals and chaos against deep blocks. The club has several names on the table.

Internal discussions are ongoing, and reports suggest there is consensus that another elite attacker is required to compete on all fronts next season.

Barcelona’s transfer team, led by Deco, has long admired one particular forward whose blend of speed, technical ability, and positional versatility fits Flick’s style.

This is not the first time the club has shown interest. Last summer, exploratory talks were held with the player’s camp.

Nothing materialised then, but this time the situation has evolved and quickly.

The player endured a mixed season. But he remains a key target, particularly given his potential availability due to uncertainty over his future at his current club.

A loan stint in the Premier League saw flashes of brilliance, though consistency was elusive.

Still, Barcelona believe they can help him rediscover his best form and in the process, add another dimension to their attack.

And now, as per a report from Relevo, Barcelona have reignited their interest in Marcus Rashford.

The Manchester United forward, who spent part of the season on loan at Aston Villa, remains firmly in Barcelona’s sights.

The club is monitoring his situation closely and is prepared to move if the conditions are favourable. It may not be an easy deal.

But with Flick now steering the ship, and the club determined to challenge for European supremacy again. Thus, Rashford’s name is back in play at Camp Nou.
