Barcelona have started the 2026/27 season with five wins across all competitions under Hansi Flick.
The Catalan side also opened their Champions League campaign with a 5-1 victory over Feyenoord.
Barcelona reshaped Flick’s squad during the summer after signing Anthony Gordon, Rodri, Karim Adeyemi and Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal also made several changes after entering the season as defending Premier League champions.
Mikel Arteta strengthened his squad with Bruno Guimaraes, Piero Hincapie and Ezri Konsa during the summer window.
However, Arsenal also lost Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Jesus before the deadline.
Both clubs are now monitoring another player as they assess possible additions for future transfer windows.
According to Fussball News, Barcelona and Arsenal are interested in VfB Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller.
The 23-year-old has also attracted attention from Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen.
Barcelona representatives watched Stiller during Stuttgart’s Champions League match against Viking FK.
The club then received a detailed scouting report on the Germany international following that appearance.
Arsenal are also tracking Stiller as Arteta considers adding another option in defensive midfield.
However, none of the interested clubs have opened official negotiations with Stuttgart at this stage.
Stiller remains under contract with the Bundesliga side until summer 2028.
Stuttgart currently value the midfielder at between €40 million and €50 million.
The German club does not want to sell him and holds a strong negotiating position because of his contract.
Stiller has attracted interest through his passing, build-up play and ability to control matches from deep midfield.
Juventus are also monitoring his development, while Bayer Leverkusen remain interested in a possible Bundesliga move.
Barcelona and Arsenal could therefore face competition if either club decides to pursue Stiller in a future transfer window.
