Barcelona are not waiting around this summer.
After falling short in key moments last season in the Champions League, the club is moving fast to build a younger and sharper squad.
They are looking to bring the European glory back to Camp Nou.
The Barcelona think tank is looking at wingers who can bring both creativity and goals.
The scouting team has travelled far and wide.
La Masia remains the heart of the project, but Joan Laporta and Deco know that adding smart signings from abroad is just as important.
With their finances still under pressure, the club must be clever in the market.
Instead of chasing big names with massive price tags, Barcelona are targeting rising stars with high ceilings.
Players who will not just fill shirts, but shape the future of the team.
This strategy led them north to a city not usually found on Barca’s radar.
The talent in question has been making waves for some time.
He made his senior debut while still in his teens. He has already scored in the Champions League.
His quick feet and bold dribbling have earned him a catchy nickname back home.
And now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is nearly done.
Barcelona and Copenhagen are finalising the details, and if all goes to plan, the youngster will move to Spain in July.
With an agreement close and only a few steps remaining, Roony Bardghji is set to become the newest member of the Catalan club.
The 18-year-old, often referred to as the “Swedish Messi,” will join a growing list of young players trusted to carry Barca forward.
Time will tell how quickly he adjusts to life in La Liga.
But with Hansi Flick looking to refresh his attack, this Roony Bardghji to Barcelona move could prove to be one of the smartest pieces of business this window.
The Camp Nou faithful may be about to witness the rise of another Scandinavian star.
