A new winger has been on their list. After the departure of Leroy Sane to Galatasaray and injuries that hurt them at times last season, which made winning the title less comfortable.
So Vincent Kompany and the club have decided to go all in. At first, they focused on targeting other players.
Now, Bayern Munich has turned to a new name. This player has been linked to the club for a long time,
The winger is direct, sharp, and creative out wide. Last season, he scored goals and assisted for fun in 36 matches last season.
He helped his team win the League. He was one of the stars of their season. But there has been some tension behind the scenes.
The fact that the player’s contract expires at Liverpool in 2027 made things tricky. Around £75m plus add-ons was expected to be enough.
However, his current club offered the player a new contract. Even then, the club knew it was going to be tricky to keep the player this summer.
Now, according to David Ornstein, Bayern Munich are in advanced talks with Liverpool to sign Luiz Diaz.
As per Ornstein’s report, the German side has already agreed on a 4-year contract with Diaz.
The Colombian winger looks to be Bayern’s new winger.
If the deal gets done, it will be a major statement to the rest of the Bundesliga as it shows Bayern are going to potentially win the title again. Diaz could be the player who helps them retain the title.
Liverpool will now be looking at replacements for the winger so they can also retain the Premier League title.
