Bayern Munich fear losing Michael Olise as Real Madrid plan €200M move

Bayern want Olise to remain one of the faces of their project.

Bayern Munich face a growing battle to retain Michael Olise amid significant interest from Real Madrid.

Olise enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, producing 15 goals and 19 assists across 32 Bundesliga appearances.

His performances helped Bayern win the league title and earned him the Bundesliga Player of the Season award.

The France international has maintained his impressive form this season, further strengthening his status as a central figure in Bayern’s attack.

Bayern now want to reward Olise with an improved contract. His existing deal runs until June 2029, but the German champions want to extend that agreement until 2032. They are also ready to significantly increase his salary.

However, Real Madrid’s interest is creating concern in Munich. According to El Nacional, Bayern Munich increasingly recognise that keeping Olise long-term could become difficult if Madrid intensify their pursuit.

The Spanish giants are considering a potential move worth around €200M for the winger.

Bayern have no intention of actively selling Olise and view him as one of the players around whom they want to build their attack.

However, El Nacional reports that an offer approaching €200M could change their position if they fail to make progress over his future.

Real Madrid are the club causing the greatest concern at Bayern. Olise has previously been linked with Madrid, while Liverpool are also monitoring his development.

Bayern remain in a strong negotiating position and do not need to sanction a sale.

Their priority is instead to secure Olise on improved terms and establish him among the highest-paid players in the squad.

Olise’s camp is seeking a release clause worth approximately €200M as part of those discussions.

Such clauses are not normally Bayern’s preferred approach, but the club could consider a major compromise to secure his long-term commitment.

For now, Bayern want Olise to remain one of the faces of their project. However, a €200M approach from Real Madrid could seriously test that stance and potentially create one of the biggest transfer stories of 2027.
