Thomas Müller waved goodbye to a stellar career at Bayern Munich this summer.
His departure ends a period of over 20 years, making his first team debut in 2008 after initially signing for the club in 2005.
Müller spent time with the second team before getting his opportunity in August 2008 under manager Jürgen Klinsmann.
In 756 appearances for the club, he recorded 250 goals and 276 assists.
In that time, he won 13 Bundesliga titles and two UEFA Champions League finals.
This is an addition to lifting the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany in Brazil, four years on from being the tournament’s top goal scorer in South Africa.
Müller retired from international football after Euro 2024, ending his time with the national team having scored 45 times in 131 games.
He now looks set to make the next move in his football career, and this is not going to be retirement.
This is despite initial rumours that he would end his time as a professional player following their quarter-final exit from the Club World Cup.
However, these talks were put to bed by Müller, who said he will “continue to play football” after a successful period in Germany.
His future could have been elsewhere in the Bundesliga, and Serie A side Fiorentina were seen by the bookmakers as a team that could make a move for Müller.
Despite these rumours, his future looks set to to be outside Europe.

According to reports, Müller is in active talks with Major League soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps.
This would be the first time in his career he would be playing outside Germany.
He would be another great of the game to play in the league and would be a welcome addition to a side that is currently second in the MLS Western Conference.
