Bradley Barcola enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign with Paris Saint-Germain. The French winger scored 11 Ligue 1 goals and added two goals and four assists in the UEFA Champions League.
Barcola also carried that form into the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He featured in all eight of France’s matches and finished the tournament with three goals and one assist.
Liverpool have identified the 23-year-old as a key attacking target following Mohamed Salah’s departure.
The club believe Barcola is the ideal profile to strengthen Andoni Iraola’s frontline ahead of the new season.
However, completing a deal remains complicated. Paris Saint-Germain want around €170 million for the winger despite him entering the final two years of his contract.
Liverpool are weighing up an opening bid worth more than €100 million but hope to negotiate a lower fee.
According to L’Equipe, Liverpool have already reached a verbal agreement in principle on personal terms with Bradley Barcola.
Now, the Reds have also convinced the France international after talks with manager Andoni Iraola.
The report states Barcola is now committed to joining Liverpool, although negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain still need to be completed.
Liverpool must now agree a transfer fee with the French champions, who are demanding around an important fee for the winger.
The report also claims Arsenal and other leading clubs remain interested in Barcola. However, Liverpool have taken a significant step by securing an agreement with the player.
Barcola has already rejected a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain and has only two years remaining on his current deal.
The report adds that Iraola’s conversation with the winger played an important role in convincing him to choose Anfield.
Liverpool have now completed one of the biggest parts of the transfer. Their next challenge is reaching an agreement with PSG over the transfer fee.
