Como continue to prepare for a historic season under Cesc Fabregas. The Italian club secured qualification for the Champions League.
Fabregas now wants to strengthen the squad before competing on Europe’s biggest stage.
The Spaniard has already started identifying targets as he looks to build a team capable of handling domestic and European demands. Now, a Chelsea defender has emerged on Como’s radar.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Como admire Trevoh Chalobah and would like to bring him to Italy this summer.
The England international recently joined his national team’s World Cup squad after receiving a late call-up to replace the injured Tino Livramento. Fabregas views Chalobah as an attractive option.
The defender has established himself as an important player at Chelsea and has accumulated significant first-team experience at Stamford Bridge.
He has also attracted interest from Italy before, with Inter previously exploring a move. However, completing a deal will not be straightforward.
Romano revealed that Chalobah likes the idea of playing in Italy. That interest gives Como encouragement as they explore a possible transfer.
Yet the financial side of the deal remains a major obstacle. Chelsea want to keep the defender and still have him under contract for another two years.
The Premier League club also values him highly, which has created a sizeable gap between their demands and what Como currently considers realistic.
For now, Como’s interest remains alive. However, Fabregas and the Serie A side must find a way to bridge the gap with Chelsea if they want to turn their admiration into a completed transfer.
🚨 Como are interested in Chelsea CB Trevoh Chalobah but there’s big gap in valuation at this stage.
Difficult deal as #CFC value Chalobah highly and Como are being careful with their budget.
