Chelsea Football Club in a good place.

They won the FIFA Club World Cup earlier this month, beating UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the New York final.

This came just two months after securing the UEFA Conference League, beating La Liga side Real Betis 4-1 in the final.

After the past three months, where they also secured a place back in the Champions League, they are being tipped by many to challenge for a Premier League title.

They have been active this summer to try and build on their momentum

With €243 million spent at time of writing, Chelsea could be about to increase their summer spending with another addition.

Attackers Liam Delap, Estêvão and João Pedro have all arrived for big transfer fees, the latter scoring in both  the semi-final and final of the Club World Cup.

With striker Nicolas Jackson strongly linked with a move away, Chelsea look set to add another attacker to their ranks.

Chelsea in advanced talks with Bundesliga attacker

According to reports, Chelsea are in advanced talks for RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons.

Simons, 22, is seen as one of Europe’s brightest prospects.

With 18 goals and 20 appearances in 57 Leipzig appearances, Simons has been touted with a move for several transfer windows.

Simons has also gained some valuable international experience, making 28 appearances for the Netherlands national team since making his debut in 2022 at the FIFA World Cup round of 16 stage.

He also earned a place in the Dutch UEFA EURO 2024 squad, scoring the opener in their 2-1 defeat to England in the semi-finals.

There is an argument to be made that Chelsea already possess a plethora of attacking talent, but the club and their fans will not mind one bit should Simons excel at the club.

With an array of games where player rotation is becoming increasingly important, Simons will receive plenty of opportunities.
