Earlier today, it was reported that Chelsea had made an agreement with Bayern Munich for the loan transfer of striker Nicolas Jackson.
The loan deal for Jackson included a €15 million fee, along with €80 million buy option clause, which was not mandatory.
This deal would see his time at Chelsea end, just two years on from his move from Villarreal to Chelsea.
Jackson has scored 30 goals across his first two seasons at the club, but has often struggled for consistency.
He has also been criticised for his wastefulness in front of goal, with comparisons made between him and former Liverpool striker Darwin Núñez.
After the additions of attackers Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Estêvão and Jamie Gittens for a combined €189.2 million, the writing has been on the wall for Jackson all summer.
A move to Bayern and the Bundesliga would give Jackson the chance to rebuild his reputation.
However, Chelsea have made a demand to Bayern that significantly affects the deal.
Chelsea make Nicolas Jackson demand to Bayern Munich
After they had agreed an initial loan deal, it has been reported that this deal is now off between both clubs.
The news comes after the injury suffered earlier today by striker Delap during Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Fulham in the Premier League lunchtime fixture.
Jackson, for now, looks set to remain at Stamford Bridge.
It remains to be seen, whether Bayern will still pursue the deal when Delap returns from injury.
