Chelsea are looking to reshape their squad under Liam Rosenior. That is why they are looking to part ways with many players.
This happens whenever a club appoints a new manager. Many players who were a part of the plans of the past manager may not get a place in the plans of the new manager.
That is why Chelsea will be very active in the transfer market. As January will be a very short window, the Blues may not get time to act in this transfer window.
But they will be making plans for next summer. Still, in January, Chelsea are looking to bring in a defender. And, they are advancing on a deal for Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes.
Now, they are also looking to offload a few players. And, one of them has become a liability for the Blues. Under Enzo Maresca, he was not even a part of the squad.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Chelsea have offered Raheem Sterling to Napoli. The former Premier League winner has been a target for many Premier League clubs.
The Blues are also ready to cover a large portion of Sterling’s salary. The Italian champions are contemplating whether they should progress with this deal.
Now, this will be a loan deal, and Chelsea would be happy to see Sterling leave, as it is certain that the player is not in the plans of the new manager, Liam Rosenior.
Raheem #Sterling is not in #Chelsea’s Plans and is ready to leave. #CFC are working to find a solution and have offered the winger to #Napoli with a large part of the salary (€18M/year) paid. No negotiations as of now, but reflections underway. #transfers
