Chelsea completed an extensive squad overhaul during Xabi Alonso’s first summer in charge, with major business involving both arrivals and departures.
The Blues spent roughly £280 million on new signings while generating around £460 million through player sales and other outgoing deals.
That activity left Chelsea with an estimated positive transfer balance of approximately £180 million following a dramatic summer at Stamford Bridge.
Morgan Rogers became Chelsea’s biggest arrival, joining from Aston Villa for a club-record £117 million.
Defensive reinforcements included Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace for £51 million and Marco Palestra from Atalanta for £43 million.
Chelsea also paid Sporting CP £43.5 million for Geovany Quenda and signed Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano for £16.3 million.
Emiliano Martinez arrived from Aston Villa for £7.5 million, while Dastan Satpayev joined from Kairat Almaty for £2.1 million.
Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson completed free transfers, with Valentin Barco also arriving from RC Strasbourg for an undisclosed fee.
The largest outgoing deal came on deadline day when Enzo Fernandez completed a £125 million transfer to Manchester City.
Nicolas Jackson joined Aston Villa for £65 million, while Real Madrid paid £47.5 million for Marc Cucurella.
Everton signed Tyrique George for £18 million, RB Leipzig acquired Marc Guiu for £14.6 million and Jimmy-Jay Morgan joined West Brom for £4 million.
Tosin Adarabioyo also completed a permanent move to Tottenham for an undisclosed fee.
Chelsea sanctioned several temporary departures, with Mykhailo Mudryk joining Tottenham and Robert Sanchez moving to Como.
Axel Disasi headed to Crystal Palace, while Dario Essugo joined Strasbourg on another season-long loan.
Deivid Washington and Omari Kellyman also moved to Strasbourg for undisclosed fees.
Alonso’s reshaped Chelsea have started the season with victories over Fulham and Brighton in the Premier League, alongside a 2–0 EFL Cup win against Luton Town.
