One of Europe’s most promising midfield talents could be heading to Italy on a surprising loan deal this summer.
Como has reportedly taken the first step to bring in a young gem from a Premier League side.
Their goal? To add flair, energy, and creativity in midfield, and to show they mean business in the Italian top flight, after their first season in the Serie A.
This Italian ambitious side is already eyeing smart reinforcements.
And while they might not have the financial firepower of the league’s giants, they are using strategy and timing to get ahead in the market.
According to Nicolò Schira, they have asked for information on a loan deal for one of Manchester City’s brightest youth prospects, a teenager born in 2006 who is already being talked about as the next big thing out of Argentina.
The midfielder has impressed with his footwork, composure, and eye for a pass, and City see him as part of their long-term plans.
The Premier League club, though, knows that he needs minutes to grow, and a move abroad could give him just that.
Talks are still at an early stage, but there is optimism that a deal can be reached.
That player is Claudio Echeverri, the 19-year-old who joined Manchester City earlier last year after shining at River Plate and captaining Argentina’s U17 team.
Como’s interest in Echeverri might have raised a few eyebrows, but the Italian outfit appears serious about making a statement this summer.
This move can give a platform to one of football’s most exciting young midfielders.
Claudio Echeverri has made just one appearance for the Citizens last season in the Premier League. He played for just five minutes which is not enough to develop a player.
So, a loan to Como might help the Argentine develop into a player capable of coping to the pressure of the European circuit.
