After paying a record-breaking £100 million on transfer fee to Aston Villa, Manchester City signed Jack Grealish in 2021.
The English international has enjoyed a fairly successful run as a Manchester City player. He has won Premier League titles, a Champions League, an FA Cup, a UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup (old).
However, the last season showed that his time at City might be coming to an end. Also, Pep Guardiola ditched him at the Club World Cup.
When Manchester City were fighting for one of the biggest prizes in club football, Grealish was left at home.
That signalled it was time for the 29-year-old to look for another club.
Jack Grealish played 157 games for Manchester City. He scored 17 goals and assisted 23 times for Pep Guardiola’s team.
Now, Manchester City are ready to sell Jack Grealish. They are looking for a fee of around £40 million.
Everton have shown interest in signing the Englishman before. And, they are among the very few clubs that want to sign Grealish.
However, getting this Jack Grealish to Everton deal over the line will not be easy for the Toffees.
One of the main reasons is the transfer fee. Everton will not be able to pay such an amount. Even if they can, they will still think twice before paying such an amount for a 29-year-old.
Yes, Jack Grealish will bring his winning mentality and flair to the team. However, David Moyes knows that Everton has to be cautious while pursuing such a deal.
According to Ben Jacobs, Everton are not in a hurry, and they have set one condition for this transfer to go through.
They are not looking to sign Jack Grealish in a permanent deal. The Toffees are looking for a loan, and that too if Grealish reduces a significant amount from his salary of £300,000 per week.
Jack Grealish wants to have more minutes this season as he wants to play for England in the FIFA World Cup next year.
It will be interesting to see what happens in this Jack Grealish to Everton transfer saga.
