Galatasaray will aim to make it four straight league titles in the 2025/26 season.
This is after securing the Turkish Süper Lig title with 95 points in the 2024/25 campaign.
With Victor Osimhen leading the league with 26 goals, they were a forced to be reckoned with going forward.
After Fernando Muslera’s 12 clean sheets and the club earning the least clean sheets (31) in the league, this was a dominant title win for the Turkish giants.
In the season prior, they won the league with 102 points.
They were just three points clear of second place Fenerbahçe, who finished as runners up despite a mammoth 99 points.
However, they won their most recent title by 11 points.
They are looking to bolster their squad to further their chances of retaining the title.
With Leroy Sane already through the door, they have gone some way towards rectifying the losses of Osimhen and Muslera.
It appears that Galatasaray have now been linked with the signing of one of Turkey’s most successful players of the past few seasons.
Galatasaray step up interest in Inter midfielder
It has been reported that they will step up their interest in Inter midfielder Hakan Çalhanoglu.
He has impressed at Inter since moving from local rivals AC Milan four seasons ago, with 38 goals from midfield during this time.
Çalhanoglu, 31, still has a lot to offer due to his range of passing and ability to shoot from distance.
Their appearance in last month’s Champions League final showcases this. he scored a crucial penalty in the semi-final tie against Barcelona.
This also created history as he became the first Turkish player to play in two Champions League finals.
Despite this, a chance to return to his native land would be likely to appeal to him.
