Inter Milan set Alessandro Bastoni price amid Barcelona interest

Alessandro Bastoni

Barcelona are showing interest in signing Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan, as they look to find a replacement for Inigo Martinez, who left the club last summer to join Al-Nassr.

Now, the Serie A leaders have set their asking price for the Italian defender. After Joan Laporta’s victory in the presidential elections, the Catalan giants are now focusing on the summer market.

There is no doubt that they have their hands tied behind their back due to the financial restrictions. That is why Barcelona have many alternatives on their list of targets.

However, Bastoni is one of their primary targets next summer. Apart from the Italian, Barcelona are also eyeing a move for Nico Schlotterbeck from Borussia Dortmund.

Apart from the German defender, they have a few Premier League players on their list. Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven is also a target for Barcelona.

However, they will face competition from Liverpool for the Dutch defender. Apart from Van de Ven, they have another Tottenham in Luka Vuskovic on their list of targets.

Also, it is worth mentioning that Manchester City’s Nathan Ake is also one of their targets. However, Barcelona are seriously pursuing a deal to sign Alessandro Bastoni, according to ESPN.

Now, the Italian newspaper, Gazzetta dello Sport, has reported that Inter Milan are looking for a fee of around €50 million to sell Bastoni.

The Italian defender’s contract with Inter Milan will expire in 2028. Therefore, the Catalan giants will have to pay a decent fee to sign Alessandro Bastoni next summer.
