Every international break brings fresh talking points, and France’s recent win over Ukraine was no different.
Kylian Mbappe was once again the headline act, but he was not the only French player who stood out on the night.
The Real Madrid captain was in good spirits during the national team camp and even made a lighthearted request about a possible signing for his club.
It sparked attention in Spain, although those close to the situation know the chances are slim.
Real Madrid already have a squad packed with attacking options. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are already fighting for spots on the left.
Transfer News Live had earlier reported Liverpool’s interest in Michael Olise. And now his name is once again linked to Real Madrid, according to Defensa Central.
The winger has enjoyed a rapid rise since joining Bayern Munich, becoming a vital player in Germany’s top flight.
At only 23, he is already viewed as one of Europe’s brightest attacking prospects.
Pulling Olise away from Bayern would not be easy. The German club consider him a key part of their project, and his contract gives them every reason to hold firm.
Any deal would require a massive investment, something Madrid are not ready to commit to in the short term.
Still, Mbappe’s admiration for Olise is genuine. The winger has shown his class for France, even scoring against Ukraine along with Mbappe.
Performances like that explain why teammates and scouts alike see him as one of the most exciting talents of his generation.
For now, the idea of Olise at the Santiago Bernabeu feels out of reach. But in football, things can change quickly, and Real Madrid have a history of making bold moves when the time is right.
