Liverpool made major changes during the summer as Andoni Iraola began reshaping the squad following his arrival at Anfield.
The Reds invested heavily after Mohamed Salah’s departure, with Bradley Barcola arriving from Paris Saint-Germain for £106 million.
Victor Munoz also joined from Osasuna for £34.5 million, while Jeremy Jacquet completed a £55 million move from Rennes.
Ronald Araujo strengthened the defence on a season-long loan from Barcelona and has made an encouraging start on Merseyside.
However, Liverpool have endured an inconsistent opening in the Premier League despite showing promise under their new head coach.
They have drawn three of their opening four league matches, although a 3-1 EFL Cup victory over Tottenham provided a positive result.
Liverpool could now turn their attention towards midfield when the transfer market reopens in January.
According to Football Insider, Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara remains on Liverpool’s radar ahead of a possible winter move.
The 22-year-old came close to joining Chelsea during the summer before the proposed transfer collapsed late in the window.
Chelsea had been pursuing a deal worth around £47 million, but Monaco have since increased their asking price.
Football Insider reports that the French club now value Camara at approximately £60 million.
Liverpool have discussed the midfielder behind the scenes and are continuing to monitor his performances for Monaco.
A January move could become a stronger possibility if Iraola decides his current midfield requires further reinforcement.
Liverpool currently have Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai among their midfield options.
The Reds have struggled to consistently control matches during their opening weeks, according to the report.
However, Liverpool have not yet completed an agreement with Monaco over a potential January transfer.
Camara therefore remains a player under consideration as Liverpool assess their options before the winter window opens.
