Liverpool have entered a new era under Andoni Iraola following Arne Slot’s departure from Anfield.
The Reds have made a steady Premier League start, drawing with Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Fulham.
Their first league victory came against Ipswich Town, while Liverpool have also produced encouraging results in cup competitions.
Iraola’s side defeated Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the Champions League before beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 in the EFL Cup.
Liverpool reshaped their squad considerably during the summer following several significant departures.
Mohamed Salah, Curtis Jones and Andrew Robertson all left, forcing the club to strengthen several areas of Iraola’s squad.
Bradley Barcola became the headline attacking addition after completing a move from Paris Saint-Germain worth more than £110 million.
Victor Munoz and Jeremy Jacquet also arrived, while Ronald Araujo joined on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
However, Liverpool could still strengthen their midfield as their recruitment team continues monitoring potential targets.
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool remain interested in Fiorentina midfielder Cher Ndour and could enter the race for his signature.
The 22-year-old has previously attracted Liverpool’s attention, and the club continue to keep him under consideration.
Ndour joined Fiorentina in 2025 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain and has since continued his development in Serie A.
He has already experienced football in Portugal, France and Turkey following spells with Benfica, PSG and Besiktas.
Furthermore, Ndour earned his first senior Italy cap earlier this year after representing his country extensively at youth level.
Liverpool also face considerable Premier League competition if they decide to pursue the midfielder.
TEAMtalk reports that Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Hull City made enquiries during the summer.
Those clubs remain attentive to Ndour’s situation, with a potential Premier League move emerging as an option for 2027.
Any future negotiations would also involve an important financial consideration for Fiorentina.
PSG retained a 50 per cent sell-on clause when Ndour completed his move to the Italian club.
Fiorentina currently remain in control of his future, but Liverpool continue monitoring the midfielder ahead of a possible 2027 move.
