Liverpool make contact to sign Mohamed Salah replacement from Premier League

Several names have already been linked with a move to Anfield.

Liverpool entered the summer facing the difficult task of rebuilding their attack following Mohamed Salah’s departure at the end of his contract.

The arrival of Andoni Iraola has brought a fresh direction at Anfield as the club prepare for a new era under the Spaniard.

Liverpool have already strengthened several areas of the squad during the transfer window. However, further additions in the final third remain a priority before the new season begins.

The club continue to explore a number of options as they search for the right long-term solution in attack.

Liverpool’s recruitment team had identified Yan Diomande as their dream target. However, the youngster has made it clear that he would prefer a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

That has forced the Reds to keep alternative options open as they look to strengthen Iraola’s squad.

Several names have already been linked with a move to Anfield, including Yankuba Minteh, Said El Mala, Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Iliman Ndiaye.

Meanwhile, one player already familiar to Liverpool’s new manager has continued to attract attention following an impressive rise in the Premier League.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool have now made contact over Bournemouth winger Rayan as they continue planning for life after Salah.

The attacker joined Bournemouth from Vasco da Gama in January and quickly adapted to English football under Iraola. His performances earned him a place in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.

The report states that Liverpool have discussed the Brazilian extensively with Iraola. The Spaniard remains a huge admirer of the teenager after working closely with him on the south coast.

Liverpool’s interest in the winger is not new, with the club having tracked him before his move to Bournemouth earlier this year.

However, Bournemouth have no intention of losing one of their brightest young talents after only six months at the club.

The Cherries consider the Brazilian untouchable. Rayan remains protected by a release clause that will not become active until 2027. So, it leaves Bournemouth in full control of Rayan’s future this summer.
