Before the January transfer window began, it felt like Mohamed Salah would leave Liverpool.
Even when he left for the African Cup of Nations, many believed that they might never see Salah again at Anfield.
Saudi Pro League clubs have been eyeing a move for Salah for a long time. The Egyptian has been their dream target.
However, the Liverpool winger has decided not to leave the club after recent developments. Earlier, it seemed everything was over between Liverpool and Mohamed Salah.
After the draw against Leeds United at Elland Road, Salah gave an explosive interview where he accused the club of throwing him under the bus.
Also, he informed that the relationship between him and Arne Slot is non-existent. This came after Slot repeatedly benched the Egyptian.
However, since returning from the AFCON, Salah started the game against Marseille, which the Reds won comfortably.
Now, it seems Liverpool are once again starting to believe in Salah. That is why they have made their stance clear amid transfer speculations.
Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool contract will expire in 2027. And, according to Ben Jacobs (via talkSPORT), the Reds would be happy if Salah sees his contract out and leaves for free.
However, there is a caveat to this story. Saudi Arabian clubs are pushing to sign Salah next summer. So, they are ready to place generous offers on the table of Liverpool.
Thus, one cannot rule out a summer exit even though things are meding at Anfield between Liverpool and Mohamed Salah.
🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Liverpool insist they want Mohamed Salah to see out his contract until 2027, but Saudi Arabian clubs are pushing for his signing.
His camp have met with Saudi officials, and a departure this summer could suit all parties.
