Liverpool star set to leave after falling out with Arne Slot

Liverpool have not yet decided on an asking price yet.

Breaking News - Liverpool

Liverpool’s difficult season continues to create fresh problems behind the scenes at Anfield.

The Reds recently lost their Premier League crown to Arsenal and now face a tense battle to secure Champions League qualification on the final day of the campaign.

Frustration around the club also intensified after Mohamed Salah appeared to criticise Arne Slot publicly following Liverpool’s defeat against Aston Villa.

The Egyptian forward posted a message on social media calling for Liverpool to return to being an aggressive and fearless attacking side again.

Several Liverpool players reacted to the post, which quickly increased speculation surrounding the mood inside the dressing room. One reaction, in particular, attracted attention.

Curtis Jones responded with a clapping emoji underneath Salah’s message, and many supporters immediately started questioning whether the midfielder agreed with the criticism aimed at Slot.

Now, reports suggest the tension between the Liverpool manager and Jones have become far more serious.

According to Tuttosport, Curtis Jones wants to leave Liverpool this summer after falling out with Arne Slot.

The report claims the midfielder no longer plans to sign a new contract at Anfield despite his current deal running until 2027.

Jones reportedly already sent signals to Inter Milan about a possible move away from Liverpool during the upcoming transfer window.

The Serie A giants are said to have maintained contact with the midfielder’s representatives since January. However, Jones is not currently Inter’s main target.

The Italian club reportedly still prioritise a move for Roma midfielder Manu Kone as they continue planning their summer rebuild.

Despite that, the report claims Jones remains a genuine option. So, he could still arrive alongside Kone if Liverpool agree to sell.

Liverpool have not yet decided on an asking price for the academy graduate. Jones came through Liverpool’s youth system and has spent his entire professional career at Anfield.
