Liverpool have entered a major rebuilding period after a disappointing 2025–26 campaign ended with a fifth-place Premier League finish.
The poor title defence ultimately cost Arne Slot his job, with Andoni Iraola arriving to lead a new era at Anfield.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konate and Andrew Robertson have all departed, leaving Liverpool with several major gaps to address.
The Reds have already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34.5M, while Jeremy Jacquet completed a £55M move from Rennes.
However, replacing Salah remains one of Liverpool’s biggest priorities as Iraola looks to strengthen his attacking options.
According to The Sun, Liverpool are now confident of winning the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
The Reds are understood to be in the driving seat for the 23-year-old despite competition from Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
Barcola enjoyed another productive campaign with PSG last season, scoring 11 goals in 29 Ligue 1 appearances.
Moreover, he contributed two goals and four assists in the Champions League as PSG reached the final and lifted the trophy.
The winger then impressed for France at the 2026 World Cup, scoring three goals and providing one assist across eight appearances.
However, Barcola now has just two years remaining on his PSG contract and is reportedly ready to pursue a new challenge.
Liverpool see him as a marquee attacking addition following Salah’s departure and are currently leading the battle for his signature.
However, the Reds may need to make a huge financial commitment, with the France international valued at around £100M.
