Liverpool set to walk away from Bradley Barcola deal

Liverpool could now walk away if the French champions maintain their current position.

Liverpool are approaching a crucial stage in their pursuit of a new winger following Mohamed Salah’s departure this summer.

Andoni Iraola wants further attacking reinforcements before the transfer window closes. However, Liverpool have struggled to make progress on one of their leading targets.

The Reds have held talks over a potential deal for several weeks. However, a significant difference in valuation continues to prevent an agreement.

According to The Standard, Paris Saint-Germain value Bradley Barcola at around £145 million, while Liverpool are unwilling to meet that asking price.

PSG have also shown no willingness to lower their demands. Barcola remains keen on the move as he searches for more regular playing time.

Liverpool could now walk away if the French champions maintain their current position. The Reds do not want negotiations to drag towards deadline day without meaningful progress.

Iraola’s side could instead switch attention towards alternative attacking targets. Barcola’s PSG teammate Ibrahim Mbaye is among the other options Liverpool have considered.

However, abandoning negotiations could create a major opportunity for Premier League champions Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta’s side remain interested in adding another high-profile attacker after missing out on Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian chose to remain at Real Madrid and signed a new long-term contract.

Arsenal have already strengthened the left side by signing Christos Tzolis. Nevertheless, Arteta still wants another attacking addition if the right opportunity emerges.

The Gunners are therefore monitoring developments around Barcola closely. Liverpool’s inability to reach an agreement with PSG could give Arsenal a clearer route into negotiations.

For Liverpool, the decision will ultimately depend on whether PSG soften their stance.

With the deadline approaching, the Reds appear increasingly unwilling to meet the French club’s enormous valuation.
