Liverpool target €35M Fiorentina star

The 22-year-old has also attracted interest from Aston Villa, Inter Milan and Juventus.

Liverpool have entered a new era under Andoni Iraola after making substantial changes to their squad during the summer.

The Reds began their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Ipswich Town. They also opened their Champions League campaign by beating Atletico Madrid 2-1 at Anfield.

Liverpool backed Iraola heavily during the transfer window following several significant departures.

Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate and Curtis Jones all left as the club reshaped its first-team squad.

Bradley Barcola arrived from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth up to £123 million.

Liverpool also signed Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes for £55 million and triggered Victor Munoz’s £34.5 million release clause.

However, the club continues to assess possible additions as Iraola develops his midfield options.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are monitoring Fiorentina midfielder Cher Ndour ahead of a potential future move.

The 22-year-old has also attracted interest from Aston Villa, Inter Milan and Juventus. Liverpool are looking for an athletic midfielder who could strengthen their rotation over the longer term.

Ndour offers physical strength alongside technical ability and can operate as a right-footed box-to-box midfielder. He has also earned two senior international caps for Italy.

Fiorentina currently have the midfielder under contract until June 2029. The Italian club rejected approaches during the summer because they wanted Ndour to continue his development in Florence.

CaughtOffside reports that Fiorentina value him above his estimated €20 million market price. The Serie A club are believed to want between €30 million and €35 million before considering a sale.

No interested club has submitted a formal offer at this stage. Liverpool and the other suitors remain in the monitoring and assessment phase.

Fiorentina’s position has limited immediate negotiations, but future squad changes could reopen discussions.

For now, Liverpool continue to track Ndour as they consider possible midfield reinforcements for upcoming transfer windows.
