Manchester City remain extremely active in the transfer market after overseeing a significant transformation of Enzo Maresca’s squad.
John Stones and Bernardo Silva departed on free transfers, with Silva joining Real Madrid after leaving the Etihad Stadium.
Rodri completed a £51 million move to Barcelona, while Tijjani Reijnders, Savio and Omar Marmoush also departed.
Nico Gonzalez joined Newcastle United for £50 million as City’s midfield underwent particularly significant changes this summer.
City responded by breaking their transfer record to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million.
They also completed an £85.6 million move for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi as Maresca reshaped his options.
Further business could follow before the deadline, with City pursuing several high-profile targets across midfield and attack.
The club have agreed a £34 million deal with Palmeiras for Allan and continue working on Enzo Fernandez.
City are also looking for another attacker following the departures of Savio and Marmoush during the summer window.
According to Nicolo Schira, Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye has given the green light to join Manchester City.
The 26-year-old is prepared to make the move and sign a contract with City running until 2031.
His approval represents a significant boost for Maresca’s side as negotiations continue between Manchester City and Everton.
However, the two clubs still need to reach an agreement over the transfer fee before completing a deal.
Everton value Ndiaye at around £80 million, creating a considerable obstacle during negotiations.
City nevertheless remain interested as they attempt to rebuild their wide attacking options before the window closes.
Maresca’s team started their Premier League campaign by beating Bournemouth 2-1 after losing the Community Shield against Arsenal.
City now face Crystal Palace as their transfer negotiations continue ahead of the rapidly approaching summer deadline.
