Liverpool have made a great start to their Premier League title defence. Both of their games against Bournemouth and Newcastle United were close.

However, the Reds demonstrated their champions’ pedigree by securing all three points from both games. On Sunday, they will face the team that could challenge them in the title race, Arsenal.

But this is also the last week of the transfer window. And the Reds have some unfinished business they would like to conclude before the window shuts.

First of all, the Reds are looking to sort out the Alexander Isak transfer situation. That is most likely to be the primary agenda on Liverpool’s list.

Last night, the Reds faced Newcastle, and all the talk surrounded one man, Alexander Isak.

That is why Liverpool will look to get that deal over the line before proceeding to sign a centre-back. They have already signed a centre-back in Giovanni Leoni from Parma this summer.

Now, Liverpool are still in talks to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. Newcastle showed interest in Guehi in January, but now, it seemed like a one horse race. But a new team has entered the race.

According to indykaila News on X, Manchester City have also made a move to sign Marc Guehi. However, they have also clarified that Liverpool is the priority for Guehi.

However, Liverpool are yet to make a bid for the player. Now, if City places a bid to Crystal Palace first, Guehi could be on his way to Manchester.

That is why Liverpool must act fast, as they will now face competition from Manchester City for Marc Guehi.
