Manchester City are continuing a major squad overhaul as Enzo Maresca reshapes his options before the summer transfer window closes.
City have already lost several established figures, with Bernardo Silva, John Stones and Rodri all leaving during the summer.
Savio also completed a club-record move to Tottenham Hotspur, further changing the composition of City’s attacking options.
The club responded by breaking their incoming transfer record to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million.
They then strengthened their midfield again by completing the signing of 18-year-old Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille for more than £85 million.
City are also pursuing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez and closing in on a verbal agreement with Palmeiras for winger Allan.
Maresca’s new-look side endured a difficult competitive beginning after losing 3-0 against Arsenal in the Community Shield.
However, they recovered by beating Bournemouth 2-1 in their Premier League opener before preparing to face Crystal Palace.
Further changes could now arrive during the final days of the transfer window as City assess another attacking addition.
According to BBC Sport, Manchester City hold an interest in Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, while Jack Grealish would prefer returning to Everton if he leaves the Etihad Stadium.
That situation could potentially create the foundations for a blockbuster arrangement involving both Premier League clubs.
Ndiaye has rejected multiple contract offers from Everton and is reportedly interested in playing Champions League football.
However, Everton remain under no pressure to sell because his current contract runs until 2029.
They would likely demand around £70 million before seriously considering allowing the Senegal international to leave.
Grealish, meanwhile, spent last season at Everton and registered two goals and six assists in 20 appearances before suffering a season-ending foot injury.
Everton have remained in contact with the 30-year-old, while Maresca is open to allowing him to leave City before the deadline.
No club has yet submitted a concrete offer for Grealish. But his preference for Everton and City’s interest in Ndiaye have created an intriguing late-window situation.
