This year so far, Manchester City have made several signings. But Pep Guardiola is looking to make a statement.
According to Fichajes, Manchester City are preparing a shocking £147 million bid to re-sign Cole Palmer from Chelsea.
Since moving to Chelsea, Palmer has grown rapidly.
Chelsea are delighted to have the player. His performance in the Club World Cup final showed why he is so highly regarded in the footballing world.
The Blues signed him for £47 million and locked him down until 2033.
Cole Palmer has become the centrepiece of their future. And, Chelsea are not looking to part ways with the England star anymore.

This offer would be a Premier League record for a homegrown player. And it puts enormous pressure on Chelsea.
Do they keep Cole Palmer or accept the money and rebuild?
Selling Cole Palmer will be a hard decision, as Enzo Maresca wants to hold onto the player.
Also, Palmer has been fantastic for the Blues, and if he returns to Manchester City, he will surely help them reach greater heights.
So, the next few weeks will be interesting as the Cole Palmer to Manchester City transfer saga heats up.
