Manchester City had a season to forget last time. The most successful English club in the last decade went trophyless which is unthinkable.

Pep Guardiola is not a man to sit around and mourn. So, as soon as the season ended, he started to plan for the next season.

The Spanish boss parted ways with Kevin De Bryune. But, he brought in Rayan Cherki. Also, he included Tijjani Reijnders to his squad.

However, he wants to have fresh legs in between posts as well. Last year, Ederson had a forgettable outing. Pep thinks Manchester City need a change in personnel.

That is why they are in talks with a former Manchester City player who was amazing in the Championship last season, James Trafford.

Well, Trafford is a long-term prospect. And, Pep wants to have a proven winner in between the posts for the next season.

That is why he is targeting a man who has played a key role in helping his national team win the Euros at Wembley Stadium and helped PSG lift the Champions League for the first time in their history.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester City are exploring a summer bid for Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper could leave Paris if PSG fail to meet his contract demands.

He has not made any public statements, but behind the scenes, his camp is weighing up all options.

PSG want Donnarumma to stay. But with every passing day, the chances of a transfer grow stronger.

Donnarumma is still one of the top goalkeepers in Europe. And if City move fast, they might just pull off one of the most unexpected transfers of the summer.

With Ederson attracting interest from Turkey, landing Gianluigi Donnarumma could be one of the best things the Citizens can do right now.
