Tottenham Hotspur suffered a major blow in their pursuit of Eberechi Eze. The Spurs had agreed on personal terms with the player.
However, Arsenal swooped in and hijacked that deal. In no time, Eberechi Eze to Arsenal was a done deal leaving Tottenham scrambling in the market.
The Spurs are looking to sign a forward. And that is why they are seriously tracking a Manchester City player. The Citizens are looking to offload some of their players.
Pep Guardiola has already signed a number of players this summer and in January last season. That is why it is time to let some of the players go.
Kevin De Bruyne left along with Jack Grealish. Also, Ederson could leave the club along with Manuel Akanji, as both players are getting linked to Galatasaray.
Now, there is one player that Tottenham want to sign from Manchester City. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, this deal will not be easy for the Spurs to complete.
The Italian journalist confirms that Tottenham are pushing to sign Savinho after missing out on Eze. Thomas Frank wants to sign the Brazilian forward.
However, the Manchester City hierarchy is blocking this move. Pep Guardiola is also trying to hold onto the player.
But if Savinho leaves, Manchester City will be ready to go after Rodrygo. The only problem is the timing, as very little time is left for the Citizens to pursue Rodrygo.
It will be interesting to see how the Spurs approach this deal and whether they can finally get Savinho or lose out like they did with Eberechi Eze.
