Manchester City claimed back-to-back Premier League wins due to a 1-0 victor against Brentford.
Now, the international break will start. So, many clubs including Manchester City will have to make decisions on certain players.
The club know that the winter window could bring more than just opportunities to buy. It could also bring questions about keeping one of their biggest names.
Interest from Europe’s elite clubs and Saudi Arabia has created a battle behind the scenes.
According to CaughtOffside, several heavyweights are now preparing to fight for the player’s signature. Sources close to the agents’ industry describe it as a genuine tug-of-war.
Both Barcelona and Juventus are planning moves for Bernardo Silva. Also, three Saudi Arabian clubs are preparing massive bids.
The Barcelona sporting director Deco is leading the push. He wants to bring Bernardo Silva to Camp Nou at the end of the season.
Juventus are also in the race. But his salary will make the deal tough for the Old Lady. His weekly wage is around £300,000. It is far beyond Juventus’s usual limit.
Meanwhile, Saudi clubs Al Ahli, Al Qadsiah, and Al Nassr are ready to offer four-year deals worth nearly £500,000 per week plus a massive signing bonus.
The Portuguese star’s future is suddenly under the spotlight. And Manchester City now face a big decision.
Kevin De Bruyne left Manchester City for Napoli this summer. He was a big part of City’s success. Also, Bernardo Silva was equally important to the squad.
So, losing the two talismans in two consecutive seasons will be a hard blow for the Citizens. That is why the club can offer him a new deal.
Also, they have the option to sell him in January. Or else, the club can let Bernardo Silva run his contract down.
