Manchester United are moving fast this summer.
After a season that saw them finish in the bottom half of the Premier League, changes are clearly on the way.
The club is looking for new faces in midfield. Christian Eriksen has already left, and Casemiro’s best days are behind him.
So United are turning to younger talent. Someone who can make an instant impact, but still has room to grow.
One name has suddenly jumped to the front of the list. He is just 22, but already plays like a seasoned pro.
His current team avoided a relegation fight last season, and he was a big part of that.
He can defend, carry the ball, and pass under pressure. The kind of midfielder every team wants these days.
But what makes this story more interesting is how quietly things moved.
There were no early headlines. No rumours flying around for weeks but just a quiet push behind the scenes.
And now, according to Daniele Longo, the deal is almost done.
Javi Guerra, the Spanish midfield talent from Valencia, is now on the verge of joining Manchester United.
Guerra played 36 league games last season and helped turn things around at Valencia.
Despite having a release clause worth £87 million, United are believed to be negotiating a much lower fee.
This could turn out to be a clever signing. He brings energy and control, two things United lacked last season.
If the deal goes through, it may be the first real sign that Ruben Amorim is building something fresh at Old Trafford.
And just maybe, Guerra is the kind of surprise that can spark a new chapter for the club.
The Red Devils have already signed Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon this summer.
They are also closing in on Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
So, this summer transfer could see Manchester United taking a significant step towards becoming the giant they were a couple of decades ago.
