Manchester United are still coping with the repercussions of that night in Bilbao.

The Red Devils not only lost the Europa League final, but they also lost any momentum they could have carried to the next season.

Ruben Amorim’s men will not feature in any of the European competitions.

As a result, their transfer budget this year is quite short. Also, the majority of their transfer activity will depend on the outgoings.

So far, Manchester United have failed to sell any player at a significant price.

The Red Devils were hoping that their wantaway wingers, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho, would bring in a significant amount of money for the Red Devils to spend in the transfer market.

However, these players are struggling to find a club.

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim wants to bring in new players to his squad. He has already signed Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon.

The Portuguese boss wants to add another winger and a goalkeeper. The Red Devils have already begun talks with Aston Villa for Emiliano Martinez.

Also, they are in negotiations with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo. It has been over a month, and Manchester United are yet to sign the forward.

Now, their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo has suffered a major blow. Brentford wanted to sign Omari Hutchinson as a replacement for Mbeumo.

However, the Bees failed to trigger his £35m release clause with Ipswich Town in time.

That is why they are now looking to get more money from that Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United deal so that they can secure the signing of Omari Hutchinson.

Manchester United see £65m as the right value for Mbeumo. However, Brentford now want £70m according to the Guardian.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe doesn’t want to overpay for players. That is why the Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United deal is stalled, currently.

The Red Devils will continue to negotiate, but it looks like this Mbeumo transfer saga is far from over.
