Marcus Rashford is enjoying his resurgence at Barcelona. After leaving Manchester United on loan to the Catalan club, the England star is having a fine run.
Initially, Rashford was having some problems. Even Hansi Flick wanted Rashford to increase his standards. And he did what the German boss wanted.
When he came back to England to face Newcastle United at St. James’ Park in a Champions League game, the former Manchester United man scored a brace.
That game showed the quality of Marcus Rashford, which was invisible at Old Trafford. And, Rashford’s career was back on track.
Also, the 27-year-old got his place back in the England squad. Now, it looks like Marcus Rashford is set to go to the World Cup with the English team.
Rashford played 10 games for the Blaugrana so far in his career and scored 3 times and provided 5 assists. That is why Barcelona wanted to sign him permanently.
However, given the recent resurgence of the England star, Manchester United are now not ready to let him go cheaply.
Also, there are other clubs now that are showing interest in the forward. However, Marcus Rashford would love to continue at Barcelona as it was his dream move.
But in football, everything doesn’t happen according to the plan. And now, Barcelona are looking to do something that will put Rashford’s career in Spain in doubt.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are eyeing a move for Dinamo Zagreb forward Cardoso Pinto Mandume Varela.
The 16-year-old has become a rising star in European football. And, Barcelona would have to pay £26 million to sign Rashford permanently. But signing the teenager will be a cheaper option.
So, the England international cannot let his form drop like previous season if he wants to compel Barcelona hierarchy to make the deal permanent.
