Fresh off a dominant Serie A title win, Napoli are wasting no time in reshaping their squad for the season ahead.
With Antonio Conte at the helm and the club now a go-to destination for top talent, their transfer plans are beginning to take shape and one Premier League star may be next on their radar.
After striking gold with past signings from England, Napoli appear ready to return to familiar waters.
The club’s recruitment from the Premier League has already paid off; none more so than the arrival of a former Manchester United midfielder, Scott McTominay, who thrived in Conte’s system.
That success has only strengthened their belief in targeting proven names from England’s top flight.
Napoli have also made headlines with a high-profile free agent capture, as club president Aurelio De Laurentiis hinted at a completed deal for one of the Premier League’s most decorated midfielders, Kevin De Bruyne, during the title celebrations.
With their midfield already bolstered, attention has now turned to a more creative presence out wide.
According to talkSPORT, Napoli are showing interest in a player who once smashed the British transfer record.
Now 29, he joined Manchester City from Aston Villa for £100 million in 2021, but recent seasons have not gone as planned.
While he was key in City’s historic treble-winning campaign two years ago, his role has diminished sharply since.
Last season saw a drop in both appearances and goal contributions and he was notably benched during the FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace.
That player is Jack Grealish. With his contract running until 2027, City may be open to cashing in early, especially if Napoli are ready to make a formal offer.
While no fee has been set, it is expected to be well below his original price tag.
For Jack Grealish, it could be the right time for a fresh start with the FIFA World Cup in mind next year. And for Napoli, it may just be another Premier League gamble worth taking.
