Barcelona did have a fantastic season last year when they won the domestic treble. They almost went all the way to the Champions League.
However, the Blaugrana lost due to an extra-time goal from Inter Milan. Otherwise, they were also the favourites to lift the trophy.
After such entertaining football that Hansi Flick’s team played last season, they were expecting offers for many of their stars.
Also, Barcelona needed to sell some of their players to manage their finances. But so far, they are unable to do so.
As a result, they failed to sign many other targets. The prime example of that is Nico Williams. Barcelona couldn’t guarantee that they would register him before the start of the season.
Williams was eager to sign for Barcelona and play alongside Lamine Yamal. But without that guarantee in his contract, Nico Williams signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao.
That is why Barcelona want to sell some of their players. And, one player is getting interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
According to Matteo Moretto from MARCA, Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado is now a target for both Wolves and West Ham United.
Both Premier League clubs are now looking to submit an offer of around €30 million before the transfer window shuts.
However, Casado wants to stay at Barcelona. That is why a deal for the player could be tough to complete for these two Premier League clubs.
The next couple of weeks will be key as both Wolves and West Ham are expected to make an offer for Marc Casado.
🚨 West Ham and Wolves are both considering a €30M offer to Barcelona to sign Marc Casado before the transfer window closes.
The midfielder remains strongly committed to Barcelona and as things stand, his absolute priority is to stay.
