Real Madrid will be looking to add a midfielder next summer. There was a time when Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Casemiro used to dominate midfield in Europe.
However, since all three left the club, Los Blancos thought that Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, along with Jude Bellingham, would replace them easily.
But Madrid have struggled to control games through the midfield. That is why Xabi Alonso wanted to sign Martin Zubimendi before he made the move to Arsenal.
The former manager of the Los Blancos identified the problem they had. Also, there have been rumours about Madrid looking to sign Rodri.
So, it is certain that they will be looking for a holding midfielder to control the tempo of the game. Now, they have many names on their list.
Now, the Meringues are primarily looking to sign either a number 6 or a number 8. And their dream target is Vitinha of Paris Saint-Germain.
However, it will be very difficult to do a deal with PSG for the Portuguese as Luis Enrique will not let the midfielder leave the club that easily.
So, they are already looking at Enzo Fernandez and Alexis Mac Allister as potential alternatives, with Liverpool star’s agent already speaking about the move in an interview.
Now, there is a new name on their list. According to Italian outlet Tutto Juve, Real Madrid are now monitoring Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United for a potential move in the summer.
The report claims that the Spanish giants are preparing a €75 million offer for the midfielder. However, Tonali’s contract with Newcastle is valid until 2030.
Thus, the Magpies will be asking for a much bigger transfer fee with the likes of both Manchester clubs, Arsenal, and Liverpool showing interest.
So, Newcastle’s demands could make this Sandro Tonali to Real Madrid deal tough for the Los Blancos.
