Real Madrid slap £100m asking price on star

Madrid believe such a valuation is justified.

Transfer Update - Real Madrid

Real Madrid will be looking to sell some of their key players in either January or the summer. The performance of this team is not satisfactory for Xabi Alonso and the board.

The Los Blancos are in a crucial phase in their season. They were at the top of the La Liga table a month ago. But now, they are behind Barcelona by four points.

Last year, Madrid didn’t win a trophy. So, they cannot afford to have the same season this time with their new manager, Xabi Alonso.

So, Real Madrid are beginning to reassess the long-term future of some of their key players. The club are no longer dismissing the possibility of a major sale.

According to Defensa Central, the French midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga, is not considered untouchable, despite his undeniable talent.

There is no immediate push to move him on, but the idea of a departure has now become a realistic scenario within the club’s hierarchy.

Any potential exit would come at a premium. Sources close to the club suggest an asking price in the region of €100 million.

Madrid believe such a valuation is justified and achievable should interest materialise. From a strategic perspective, a sale would not be about replacing Camavinga directly.

Instead, the funds would be used to reshape the midfield with a different profile in mind.

Real Madrid are keen to add a true playmaker, someone capable of dictating tempo and providing balance, should Camavinga’s situation tip towards an exit.
