Real Madrid have already made a decision on one of their former players. The club plans to bring him back at the end of the season.

Now, the player is ready to come back, and Xabi Alonso is also ready to welcome him back.
According to AS, Real Madrid will activate their buy-back clause for Nico Paz next summer. The fee is set at €9 million. The club decided not to trigger a higher option last year.
Nico Paz left Madrid in the summer of 2024. At the time, he had made only a handful of senior appearances. So, a move away was the best option for him.
Since then, he has impressed in Italy. He has become a regular starter for Como. He has also developed into one of the most exciting young midfielders in Europe.
Como paid €6 million to complete the deal. However, Real Madrid inserted a buy-back option into the agreement.
They also retained control over the player’s future. That decision is now proving important.
Paz has scored 11 goals and provided 14 assists in 51 appearances for Como. Those performances have attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe.
Also, several Premier League clubs have been linked. Some reports have suggested offers as high as €80 million.
However, Paz himself is keen to return to Santiago Bernabeu. For now, Madrid are ready to block all approaches and bring him home next summer.
