After a season where Real Madrid didn’t win a single trophy, they had to do something.

Carlo Ancelotti left the club to manage the Brazilian national team. So, Real Madrid replaced him with Xabi Alonso.

Also, last year, they signed the French superstar, Kylian Mbappe. He is undoubtedly the highest-paid player on Real Madrid’s team.

With Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid were dreaming of a quadruple.

But what they get in reality is a trophyless season, which is unacceptable due to the talent this season has.

With Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid wanted to change their fortune in the Club World Cup, which was the first assignment of the Spanish coach.

Things were progressing decently. However, some changes were evident. Rodrygo did not in Alonso’s plan. So, after the tournament, Real Madrid might sell him.

In the semi-final, the Los Blancos were humiliated by PSG, the Champions League winners.

So, there will be major changes at Santiago Bernabeu before the next La Liga season begins.

However, nobody expected to see Vinicius Junior leaving Real Madrid. Yet, that unthinkable thing could become a reality as his new contract talks with the Los Blancos have stalled.

Real reason why Real Madrid stalled Vinicius Junior contract talks

According to Mundo Deportivo, the real reason why Real Madrid stalled Vinicius Junior contract talks is Kylian Mbappe.

No, Mbappe is not pushing Vinicius out of the club. The two share a good relationship. However, there is a certain thing that Vinicus wants from Madrid.

Vinicius Junior wants to continue his career with Real Madrid. However, he wants a similar salary to that of Kylian Mbappe.

Florentino Perez and the Real Madrid board are not ready to give Vinicius the same salary they are giving Mbappe.

That is why the contract talks have stalled, and Real Madrid are considering cashing in on Vinicius before his contract expires in 2027.

The Brazilian has a €1 billion release clause. However, Madrid will listen to offers for Vinicius.

It will be interesting to see what happens when one of the best forwards becomes available in the market.

Liverpool and PSG are already keeping an eye on the situation, as both clubs could pursue a deal for Vinicius
