Chelsea are preparing for a significant summer rebuild after a disappointing campaign left them outside the European places.
Xabi Alonso has arrived as the club’s new head coach, while the hierarchy continues trimming the squad before the new season.
Several players have already departed Stamford Bridge, and more exits could follow in the coming weeks.
Chelsea are also weighing offers for first-team players as they look to balance the squad alongside their defensive reinforcements. One of the biggest questions surrounds Alejandro Garnacho.
The former Manchester United winger endured a difficult first season after arriving at Stamford Bridge and struggled to establish himself in the starting lineup.
According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea have now set their asking price for Garnacho as clubs continue to monitor his situation.
Napoli are reportedly among the strongest contenders for the Argentine’s signature after showing firm interest in a summer move. However, the Serie A club prefer a loan with an option to buy.
Chelsea are unwilling to accept that structure. Instead, the report claims the Blues want a permanent transfer and have placed a £90M valuation on Garnacho.
Despite that public stance, the report adds Chelsea could seriously consider offers worth around £60M if formal interest develops during the transfer window.
Roma have also been linked with the winger, although Chelsea remain against sending Garnacho out on loan.
The club want a permanent sale as they continue reducing the size of the squad after missing out on European football.
Garnacho managed just one Premier League goal in 24 appearances during his debut campaign at Chelsea.
His inconsistent performances have increased speculation surrounding his future despite joining the club only last summer.
It also remains unclear how Alonso views the winger ahead of the new season.
However, the report claims the Spaniard is actively involved in Chelsea’s transfer planning alongside the club hierarchy as decisions continue over Garnacho’s future.
