Liverpool are not moving away from their goal of securing the services of Alexander Isak this season.

The Swedish international is also eager to join Liverpool and has taken desperate measures to complete the deal.

The 25-year-old has taken to Instagram to clarify the unfortunate situation with Newcastle United.

However, Newcastle also released a statement clarifying their stance on the situation.

After all the drama with the Alexander Isak to Liverpool deal, there is one thing clear: Newcastle will not let Isak leave unless they sign his replacement.

The Magpies don’t want to leave their manager, Eddie Howe, high and dry. Newcastle United will be participating in the Champions League this season.

That is why they want to have a prolific goal scorer up front. The Magpies were looking for a striker from the beginning of the transfer window.

However, most of the strikers they targeted have rejected them. The latest player to reject Newcastle was Benjamin Sesko, who chose Manchester United instead.

But, Brentford’s striker Yoane Wissa is keen to join Newcastle. Eddie Howe saw Wissa as a replacement for Isak.

However, Brentford are not ready to part ways with Wissa as they want to find a replacement for their striker as well.

Newcastle have submitted two bids, and both were rejected by the Bees. These rejections will have serious implications for the Alexander Isak to Liverpool move.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are ready to submit a massive offer for Alexander Isak to Newcastle, according to Fichajes.

The Reds are now willing to pay around £140 million for the striker. But Newcastle’s valuation for the striker is around £150 million. It is expected that Newcastle will once again reject Liverpool’s bid.

However, as things went public between Alexander Isak and Newcastle, this deal might stretch till the deadline day to get to a solution.
