Post Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema era of Real Madrid, if there is one person who took the responsibilities of the team on his shoulders single-handedly, then that would be Vinicius Junior.
Before Kylian Mbappe joined the club, Vinicius was the face of the Real Madrid project. But since Mbappe signed for the Los Blancos, things have changed drastically.
The Brazilian is no longer the face of the project, and the one who was untouchable is now available for the right price in the transfer market.
After the Club World Cup debacle at the hands of PSG, Real Madrid got a shock. Since that game, the Los Blancos have become strict.
They relayed one basic principle to each and every player of the club: Real Madrid is bigger than any individual.
After the global tournament, Real Madrid were even ready to listen to offers for Rodrygo. The position of Vinicius was also not safe, although Madrid wanted to renew his contract.
His contract with Real Madrid is set to expire in 2027. That is why the last thing Madrid would want is to lose one of their most important players for free.
Well, Real Madrid have used such tactics to sign many players. They don’t want to be the victim of their own plot.
But Vinicius Junior has a secret plan. The reason he is not signing the new contract is that the Brazilian is demanding the same salary as Kylian Mbappe.
However, Florentino Perez is not ready to accept this, and that is why the contract talks have been stalled.
Now, Real Madrid were open to right offers for Vinicius. This has made the Brazilian unhappy as his status at the club has gone down.
According to Fichajes, Vinicius Junior has made a secret plan for his Real Madrid exit. The 25-year-old will run his contract down and leave for free in 2027.
The 2026 summer transfer window will be important, as Real Madrid will look to extend Vinicius’s contract by then. If not, they will be ready to accept offers for the Brazilian.
