Liverpool and Mohamed Salah are not having a great time together. After the game against Leeds United at Elland Road, where Salah was on the bench, the Egyptian gave an explosive interview.

Since then, speculations about his possible exit have risen quite a lot. He renewed his contract last year, which extended his stay till 2027.

Also, last time, there were rumours about a possible move to Saudi Arabia. There is no doubt that Saudi clubs are still ready to throw big money at the Egyptian.

However, those rumours died when Liverpool won the Premier League last season, and Salah won the Golden Boot.

But after his interview, those Saudi rumours resurfaced. And, it looks like Salah’s next destination could be Saudi Arabia.

However, there is another surprise club that has entered the fray. And, Mohamed Salah has an old connection with that club that can turn the route of his next destination.

According to La Repubblica, AS Roma are ready to join the race to re-sign Mohamed Salah next summer.

The Italian side already have enough non-EU players in their squad. As a result, signing Salah in January will not be possible for them.

However, if they qualify for the Champions League at the end of the season, then they can definitely try and sign Salah.

Staying in Europe and playing in the Champions League will always be an incentive for Salah in such a scenario.

That is why Roma will definitely try to bring the Egyptian back to the club in the summer. Salah joined the Giallorossi in 2015 on loan from Chelsea.

The following year, they made that move permanent. And in 2017, they sold Salah to Liverpool for €50 million after scoring 34 times in 83 appearances for the club.

Now, after a legendary stint with Liverpool, Salah could be heading towards the exit door with his old club ready to embrace him once again.
